PaperTigers
is a website dedicated to childrens and young readers
books from and about the Pacific Rim and South Asia, produced
by Aline Pereira and local collaborators in the Pacific Rim
and beyond! Through a panorama of books published in these
regions, books reviews, interviews with authors and illustrators,
an art gallery, lists of essential readings and a resource
section, PaperTigers wants to highlight the richness of the
childrens book world in (and about!) this area, and
to be a useful resource for librarians, teachers, parents,
and publishers
On
PaperTigers you'll find:

Book Reviews from trusted sources such as the British Books for Keeps, the American Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC), the Canadian Resource Links, and many other specialized publications around the world.

Interviews
with authors and illustrators from the Pacific Rim and South
Asia, or who are writing about these regions, done exclusively
for PaperTigers by childrens books journalists from
all over the world;

The Illustrators Gallery,
where we highlight illustrators from the
Pacific Rim and South Asia with an online exhibit of their
portfolio.

Essential Reading,
where we propose guides prepared by libraries, magazines,
authors, or our very own experts to find out whats
the best in Pacific Rim/South Asian childrens books;

Resources,
where we profile the many organizations, magazines, institutes,
etc. worldwide that are involved in the promotion of childrens
books and reading, or in other activities that may be interesting
for the scope of our site or for our readers. We visit all
their websites and look at their brochures and programs,
so you can save time and know right away if they are what
youre looking for!
